Manjit K. Gill
Founder & CEO
Manjit has over 20 years of business expertise under her belt and has been involved in 7 startups prior to Binti. Her flair for finding opportunities has taken her around the world and she has international experience in the business arena. Her role as a mentor for a business woman in Kenya with the Cherie Blair Foundation led her to start this project. Her mission is to create a huge, social impact whilst generating a sustainable organisation. As a British Indian, providing basic menstrual rights for women in India has become her obsessive, compulsive dedication to making a change.
Mark has been involved in high profile companies and startups for over 20 years and has had a variety of business development and legal roles. A barrister and then merchant banker in the late 80’s and early 90’s he has been a key member of business creation teams globally. At Binti he will be responsible for keeping the business running effectively in each of the countries whilst complying with the local legal rules. His expertise will ensure that the business is profitable, maximising all opportunities and heading towards its expansion goals.
Madhu joins us with 19 years Financial Accounting experience ranging over a wide spectrum of industries, from hospital finance, private limited firms and a large engineering group. Her involvement with existing businesses and charitable trusts makes her a valuable member of the team. Her responsibility with Binti is striking a core balance between growth, sustainability and profit.
Craig has held a front row seat at the intersection of business and technology for seventeen years, offering a composite perspective of traditional and cloud computing that has helped executive teams open doors to opportunity and transform business at several of the world’s dominant financial institutions and digital properties. As a driver of sustainable growth through technology-enabled cost-savings and productivity, Craig brings 360-degree insights to the challenges companies face in modernizing software and IT best practices. With a critical eye on customer and employee satisfaction, Craig’s unique blend of strategic and hands-on experience lets him balance innovative thinking with practical approaches, while engendering trust among executive decision-makers.
He brings his technical expertise to Binti enabling the organisation to stay ahead while focusing on its long-term goal of helping one girl at a time.
Surash leads the RealNetworks business in EMEA and has over 25 years of experience in tech and telco. Prior to joining RealNetworks Surash worked at mGage, the global mobile engagement provider where he held roles of Chief Strategy officer as well as COO for Europe. Surash was also previously instrumental in helping Velti through its meteoric growth and Nasdaq listing. Surash has worked for KPMG, Accenture, O2 and BT in various senior positions. Surash has an MBA from London Business School and a BEng(Hons) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Brunel University. Surash was moved by the Binti cause and the work to educate girls out of poverty. He is keen to Smash shame in offices and schools as a business leader and father of three.
Prince is a Chartered Accountant with a track record of establishing effective financial management practices in international organisations undergoing structural change or rapid expansion. Achievements include establishing new procedures and implementing new systems. He is an expert for working with sales and marketing teams in the development of financial strategies that deliver sustainable, consistent revenue growth. I am passionate about Women empowerment and that's what drew me to Binti.
Rupa hails from a media background with extensive experience in TV, film and photography. She has also worked with a number of charities. She thrives on building relationships with rapport and trust with people from all walks of life and she is truly passionate about making difference in the world. Rupa has a real flair for connecting with people which she will be brining her skills to Binti by writing and editing website content and creating a digital presence and awareness for the charity through social media and blogs. Additionally she will be responsible for taking photography at, and assisting with organising, press releases and events.
Hardeep is passionate about being involved in humanitarian work that implements equality, empowerment and education. She has consistently volunteered with a small charity, Sikh Aid international, since her teens, giving her exposure to relief missions proving eye operations for the blind and underprivileged, dental care and education for orphans in India and more recently the installation of a water pump in East Africa. In the UK she has been worked on various projects with Acorns and St Mary’s Hospice. Hardeep has been greatly inspired by Binti’s mission to eradicate the stigma attached to menstruation. She will be promoting Binti by organising and running PR campaigns and managing participation in events.
Jaipreet has spent the last four years working in the NGO sector. She’s worked at NGOs such as Emergency UK, U.S. Human Rights Network, Mencap,UNITED SIKHS and has worked as a Development Officer at Medical Aid for Palestinians.
She has a strong passion for helping others, while also advocating and campaigning for change within the world, and is looking for helping Binti make that change.
Yogeeta is an Associate Director in strategy at MSD, a top 10 global pharmaceutical company. Her role involves providing insights on current trends in health and digital policy and shaping the commercial model for products such as hepatitis C treatments and antibiotics.
Yogeeta is also a co-founder of Omphalos, a platform to share stories about how culture impacts women’s health. She completed her training in public health and management at Harvard and Johns Hopkins University.
Anita Goyal is the CEO and trustee of The Hemraj Goyal Foundation. She is a Patron of Binti International and the Honorary Chair of the FGM Appeal for Barnardo’s. She is an award winning philanthropist and community champion. Anita completed a BSc in Biomedical Materials Science & Engineering at Queen Mary College, London. Anita’s passion for teaching led her to become a Science teacher, advancing to Head of Science and then progressing to Assistant Head Teacher of Inclusion. Anita has completed her MA in Special and Inclusive Education at the Institute of Education and UCL.
She is the Co-founder of Ultimate You where she designs educational seminars for business, leadership, life and relationships with her husband- Avnish Goyal (an award winning entrepreneur). Under the family Foundation, Anita has launched People of the World as a platform for investing in the personal development and empowerment of all people from diverse backgrounds. She is passionate about making a difference and believes in doing everything with passion and purpose.

Anila is an award winning journalist, TV presenter and host. She is passionate about furthering the evolution of humanity through various mediums including writing.
She does this in her own small way by ensuring that we have the opportunity to become an informed electorate; we can all look outwards to ensure gender equality; and look inwards so we can be the best we can be.

Sadi has been awarded an MBE in the Queen’s New Year Honours list for her contribution to Cultural/ Religious Awareness Training and Services to Vulnerable Women. Sadi was the victim of domestic abuse for many years, but now uses her experiences to empower other women.
In 2004 Sadi set up Noble Khan, the UK’s only licensed cultural awareness training centre. Through her work in this area she won the Women’s Aid Empowering Women Award in 2011 and Trainer of the Year in 2013.
Athena is Chief Executive at The Eve Appeal the only UK national charity raising awareness and funding research into the five gynaecological cancers – womb, ovarian, cervical, vulval and vaginal.
The world-leading research that her and her team fund is ambitious and challenging but our vision is simple: A future where fewer women develop and more women survive gynaecological cancers.
Nina is a British actress, known for playing Zainab Masood in the BBC soap opera EastEnders, Mrs Hussein in the Open All Hours spin-off Still Open All Hours, and for starring in the hit BBC Two sketch show Goodness Gracious Me.
Aaron is our youngest ambassador and is keen to pave the way for girls to menstruate with dignity.

Shivani is a highly professional, dynamic, and driven Marketing Executive with a comprehensive background in marketing of established global brands and brand licensing. Experienced with working in a fast paced environment, gaining strengths in leadership, project management, building relationships and communication. Proven ability to quickly understand the mission, vision and values of a brand, ensuring that brand messages, standards and communications are understood and implemented effectively.
Alongside her musical achievements, Manika Kaur is a devoted philanthropist raising awareness and funds for education projects in rural Punjab, India via her organisation Kirtan for Causes.
Kiran is an electronic music producer, drummer, artist and activist. She is also known by her stage name Madame Gandhi. Her music career includes being a touring drummer for artist M.I.A. and Thievery Corporation.
She is also well known for her efforts to promote normalisation of menstruation by running the London Marathon in free flow, and sharing her experience and thoughts with the media of the World!

She is responsible for the local operations in Nairobi for Binti. Her long term goal is to develop the projects within the organisation throughout the Nairobi region.
